Text

Transcription: This paper book was made up by the late Charles Dickens at the end of the year 1859 when he was kind enough to give me lessons in shorthand. A large part of it is in my writing - probably from his dictation - but the 'combinations' were written by him. His handwriting will easily be recognised. Arthur P. Stone.
